Fresh herbs are a simple summer upgrade
Herbs like basil, mint, rosemary, dill, cilantro, and sage grow well in small containers or garden beds. They add flavor without relying on extra salt, sugar, or processed ingredients. A few plants on a patio or windowsill can make home cooking feel fresher and more seasonal without much effort.
Recipes from the segment
Luisa shared five recipes, each highlighting a different summer herb:
- Tomato Basil Salad: a fresh salad built around summer basil
- Dill Tzatziki Dip: a cool, herb-forward dip for vegetables, chicken, fish, or pita
- Cilantro Lime Salmon: a light main dish with citrus and fresh cilantro
- Rosemary & Sage Herb Butter: a versatile addition to vegetables, potatoes, fish, chicken, or bread
- Fresh Peppermint Tea: a simple way to use garden mint with no processing required
