Happy New Year on WFMZ!
Happy New Year!
2019 is here, and time for the New Year Resolutions. Two things are common when it comes to discussion of resolutions, including a desire for weight loss and sticking to your goals. Because we want you to be successful, we are going to make it easy for you this year.
We want to address those important concerns. We can get a handle on weight control naturally and keep it reasonable enough to stick to long-term. Read on to learn about the resolutions I shared with my friends at WFMZ 69 News or watch the segment here!
Resolutions:
1 - FINISH EATING AT LEAST 2 HOURS BEFORE BED – This allows for proper digestion which leads to better sleep. Your body has restorative functions while you sleep at night. If your food is undigested, your body will not able to do this important task.
2- SIT DOWN WHILE EATING– Your nutrients are better assimilated when in a relaxed mode. Try not to add additional stress at the table.
3 - SKIP THE WATER AT MEALTIMES - Drinking a lot of water interferes with digestion because it dilutes the stomach acid that is needed to digest your food. Drink most of your water either one hour before or two hours after eating.
4 - DRINK BRAGG’S APPLE CIDER VINEGAR– Start with one teaspoon, then you may increase it to 2-3 tablespoons per day. Many of us do not have enough stomach acid to digest our foods properly. Vinegar can help. It also is well known for promoting weight loss. Sometimes weight gain is due to undigested foods. (Note, if you struggle with Reflux, only start with 1-2 drops of the vinegar.)
5 - NO CHEWING GUM- Gum chewing depletes your stomach acid. If you chew gum - drink more vinegar.
YOU CAN DO THIS!
Stick to these five easy goals, and you will be thankful for these small LONG TERM changes that can make such a difference!
