Summer Essentials
Summer is finally here! We hope you are enjoying the warm sun and the benefits of Vitamin D from its greatest source. With an increase in outdoor activities, vacations and gatherings, there are a number of factors that may impact your family’s health this season such as poison ivy, sunburn, swimmer’s ear, indigestion and countless others.
Our team compiled a list of what we consider “Summer Essentials,” available here in the office in an effort to lessen these uncomfortable side effects of summer. Check them out below and contact us to book an appointment.
SUNBURN
Prevention: 2 hours prior to sun exposure take (6) Cataplex F tablets and (3) Calcium Lactate tablets
Blisters: Use USF ointment topically on blisters. In addition, take Cataplex F tablets.
Soother: Add 20 drops each of lavender essential oil and peppermint oil to a 2 oz glass spray bottle. Fill the remainder with water or coconut oil.
POISON IVY
Orally three times a day, take:
- (2) Thymex
- (2) Immuplex
- (6) Calcium Lactate
Topically, spray OnGuard directly to the area without dilution then avoid sunlight on skin for 12 hours.
CUTS/SCRAPES
Use Melaleuca (tea tree) oil or Lavender Oil directly on open wounds for antiseptic and antibacterial benefits.
SWIMMER'S EAR
If you have a history of swimmer’s ear, use one drop of Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar or Garlic Oil in each ear daily.
INDIGESTION
When enjoying the summer picnics, make sure to bring along Zypan, Multizyme and Bragg’s Apple Cider Vinegar. They help with acid reflux, bloating, indigestion, stomach aches and cramping.
BUG REPELLANT
For organic gardening, fill a spray bottle with 8oz of water and 15 drops of Terrashield, shake and spray on the plants. For your skin, fill a 2oz glass spray bottle with 5-10 drops of Terrashield and water or coconut oil. Spray all over exposed skin.
SORE MUSCLES
Working out this summer? Magnesium Lactate and Cataplex E2 are necessary for healthy muscles, and always keep Boswellia on-hand as an excellent anti-inflammatory.
